You’ll report to the Service Manager and support customers on mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes with precision and professionalism.

Impact you’ll make

  • Keep fleets running through expert inspection, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Deliver accurate annual inspections that customers can trust.
  • Own your schedule and execute work independently.
  • Delight customers with clear communication and dependable service.

What you’ll tackle

  • Field diagnostics and light repair on mobile cranes and boom trucks.
  • Preventative maintenance: oil changes, brake jobs, and system checks.
  • Thorough reporting: work orders, timekeeping, hours overviews, and expenses.
  • Other related duties as required.

Must-haves

  • Solid mechanical foundation with experience across electrical and hydraulics; proficient reading of both schematics.
  • Preventative maintenance experience and light equipment repair background.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for sites and training.
  • Strong communicator with customer-first mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Basic computer skills (preferred).
  • Exposure to mobile cranes/heavy equipment is a plus.

Preferred

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year as a crane mechanic/technician.

Schedule and working conditions

  • Full-time; typical hours 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • Overtime and weekend work may occur based on business needs.
  • Outdoor and shop environments with weather, temperature extremes, dust/fumes/odors, and noise.
  • Physical activity includes sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; frequent lifting/moving up to 40 lbs; vision demands include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Safety expectations

  • Follow all safety policies and site rules.
  • Wear required PPE.
  • Participate in training and demonstrate competency.
  • Report hazards and unsafe behaviors, or correct when appropriate.

Pay and incentives

  • $25.00–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience.
  • $4,500 sign-on bonus after 90 consecutive days.
  • Tool reimbursement up to $1,500 each calendar year.
  • Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.
