As a Security Officer Flex Driver Patrol in Winston-Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer in an education location, you will make routine rounds, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents while supporting students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and respond to alarms and access control needs as they arise. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, students, patients, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls, and/or requests for assistance, and coordinate with site leadership and public responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points, visitor flow, and campus activity, providing directions and information while watching for unusual conditions and reporting concerns per procedure.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, document security-related observations, and communicate status updates to supervisors and client contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
