To ensure that Cardiology services rendered (the evaluation and treatment of patients) are completed in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. Those serviced include inpatients and outpatients, UHS staff and employees, as well as affiliated UHSH community groups as needed. Priority is given to services which directly affect patients and supervised staff.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
\n
\n
\n
Preferred:
\n
- \n
- Graduation from an accredited school for Cardiac Ultrasonography.
\n
\n
\n
License/Certification
\n
Minimum Required:
\n
- \n
- Certification from ARDMS or CCI is required.
- CPR Certification within 3 months of hire.
\n
\n
\n
\n
Preferred:
\n
- \n
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
\n
\n
\n
Work Environment
\n
- \n
- Work is performed in office setting, ultrasound rooms and at patient bedside. All work performed requires working in close quarters with other employees. The offices are air conditioned/heated. Areas are occasionally subject to fumes. Ability to push equipment. Limited access to patients.
\n
\n
