About the Facility:

Isuzu North America Corporation is investing approximately $280 million to establish a new production facility in Greenville County, South Carolina. This 1 million-square-foot, state-of-the-art plant—set on over 200 acres—will feature a flexible production line capable of manufacturing both internal combustion and electric vehicles. Production will include the N-Series Gas, N-Series Electric, and F-Series Diesel trucks, Production will include the N-Series Gas, N-Series Electric, and F-Series Diesel trucks, with a targeted capacity of up to fifty thousand units annually by 2030.. Assembly operations are expected to launch in 2027, with expansion slated for 2028. Strategically located near I-85, I-26, and the Port of Charleston, the site supports streamlined logistics and consolidated operations under one roof. This initiative is projected to create over 700 new jobs in the area.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership – Ensure safety for maintenance team members and production processes.
  • Task & Progress Management – Monitor daily progress and performance of maintenance tasks.
  • Vendor & Subcontractor Oversight – Oversee outsourced construction or service projects.
  • Strategic Production Planning – Support planning of production-related maintenance initiatives.
  • HR & Talent Development – Train and develop technical staff; manage labor assignments.
  • Abnormality Response – Lead troubleshooting of production equipment issues.
  • 5S and Environment – Drive workplace organization, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Process Improvement – Propose and implement improvements to equipment and workflow.
  • Tool Management – Oversee use and control of maintenance tools.

Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead a team of maintenance professionals.
  • Coordinate with internal engineers and external contractors.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
  • Drive both formal Kaizen events and daily continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive manufacturing equipment maintenance.
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience, including PLC systems.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Forklift / Crane / Welding / CO₂ Handling
  • OSHA 30, LOTO, Arc Flash Safety Training
  • Understanding of ISO9001 & ISO14001

Skills:

  • Hands-on technical ability and coaching experience.
  • Strong team communication and planning.
  • Preventive Maintenance familiarity (CMMS system coming soon).
  • Leadership in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
