Schedule: Flexible – 1st Shift or 2nd Shift AvailableJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician for a direct hire opportunity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, particularly with older industrial equipment and legacy systems.The ideal candidate will be hands-on and experienced working with hydraulics, gear drives, shafts, bearings, motors, and older PLC-controlled equipment.Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose issues involving motors, gear drives, shafts, bearings, and conveyors
- Maintain and troubleshoot older PLC-controlled equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Perform inspections to prevent downtime and equipment failures
- Repair and replace worn or damaged components
- Support equipment installations and upgrades
- Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of industrial maintenance or electro-mechanical experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience with hydraulics, bearings, shafts, gears, and industrial equipment
- Experience with older manufacturing equipment (1970s era preferred)
- Experience troubleshooting older PLC-controlled systems
- Ability to read schematics and mechanical blueprints
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a manufacturing setting
Preferred Experience
- Metal manufacturing, steel fabrication, roll-forming, or similar environment
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
- Technical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical maintenance
Compensation & Schedule
- $30.00 - $37.00 per hour based on experience
- Direct hire opportunity (not contract)
- Flexible 1st or 2nd shift available
- Full-time, long-term role
