Palisades Fuel is seeking an experienced, full time, Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer to join our growing team. We are looking for a customer-focused professional with at least 2 years of automotive service advising experience who can help deliver exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of our busy repair facilities.
Responsibilities
Greet customers and serve as the primary point of contact for all service-related needs.
Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues.
Create repair orders and prepare service estimates.
Communicate repair recommendations and maintenance needs in a clear, professional manner.
Schedule service appointments and coordinate workflow with technicians.
Monitor repair progress and provide customers with timely updates.
Review completed repairs and explain invoices to customers.
Process payments and maintain accurate customer records.
Promote preventative maintenance and recommended services when appropriate.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient service department.
Resolve customer concerns professionally and ensure a positive service experience.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or similar role.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair services.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and computer skills.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Experience with New York State inspections & ALLDATA software is a plus.
