Georgetown, SC 29440)

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM-5:45 PM | Friday 7:00 AM-3:45 PM

Pay: $25-$35/hour

Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 Months)

Position Overview

Tilley Technologies is seeking skilled Millwrights to join

their growing team in Georgetown, SC. This position focuses on the

installation, assembly, alignment, and maintenance of industrial machinery and

equipment within a large fabrication and assembly environment. The ideal

candidate will have experience with mechanical installations, pipe fitting,

blueprint reading, and MIG welding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, and align industrial and construction machinery.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layout drawings, and P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) drawings.
  • Use precision measuring and alignment tools such as plumb bobs, levels, tape measures, and other layout equipment.
  • Thread, install, and connect piping systems, valves, gauges, pumps, and related mechanical equipment.
  • Perform mechanical assembly and equipment installation according to engineering specifications.
  • Weld structural components using MIG welding processes, including hard wire and flux-core applications.
  • Ensure proper alignment and fit-up of equipment and machinery prior to installation.
  • Perform inspections and adjustments to verify equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards throughout the fabrication and installation process.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience installing industrial equipment and machinery.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and assembly experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and P&ID diagrams.
  • Experience threading and installing pipe systems.
  • Knowledge of pumps, gauges, valves, and industrial mechanical equipment.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring and alignment techniques.
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial fabrication environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MIG welding experience with hard wire and flux-core processes.
  • Pipe fitting experience.
  • Journeyman Millwright or related trade experience.
  • Previous experience in industrial manufacturing, fabrication, power generation, shipyard, or construction environments.
  • Foreman or leadership experience is a plus.

Work Environment

  • Large, well-organized, and exceptionally clean fabrication facility.
  • Non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Consistent work location with no travel required.
  • Opportunity for substantial overtime during peak production periods, often reaching 65-70 hours per week.

Ideally:

Candidates with experience as a Millwright, Industrial

Mechanic, Mechanical Installer, Pipefitter, Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanical

Foreman, or Industrial Construction Technician are highly encouraged to

apply. Experience with industrial equipment installation, welding, blueprint

reading, mechanical assembly, piping systems, and equipment alignment will be

highly valued.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
