Job Description
We’re hiring a Commissioning Engineer for a series of high-impact projects across Central Ohio. You’ll take the lead on-site—owning commissioning from strategy through execution—ensuring every system performs exactly as it should. It’s technical, it’s hands-on, and it’s mission-critical.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the commissioning process: Review specs, align with Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), and build test scripts that don’t miss a beat.
- Coordinate on-site efforts with clients and crews—ensuring systems are installed, tested, and tuned with precision.
- Track issues, drive resolutions, and maintain bulletproof documentation along the way.
- Deliver polished final reports, schedules, and compliance packages that clients can trust.
- Lead client meetings and provide technical expertise that builds confidence.
- Assist in project management activities—budgets, proposals, invoicing, and change orders.
- Share your knowledge: Mentor team members and contribute to internal training (think Lunch & Learns and blog posts).
- Keep your edge sharp by staying ahead of industry best practices and certification trends.
What You Bring:
- A degree in Engineering, Building Systems, or a related field (preferred, not required).
- Experience commissioning complex systems in commercial, industrial, or critical facilities.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and control sequences.
- Familiarity with commissioning standards and procedures.
- A commanding presence on job sites and in front of clients.
- Local travel readiness (boots on the ground is part of the job).
Join a team that values technical expertise, encourages cross-functional collaboration, and gives you room to lead.
