What We Are Looking For
- A Project Executive with at least one of the following:
- Experience directing projects at the program level.
- Program level management experience in a multi-trade environment working with MEP trades.
- A professional with experience performing the following tasks:
- Takes accountability of the assigned portfolio with a demonstrated tenacity to drive toward financial results regardless of external factors.
- History of building a team through people development, recruiting, and hiring.
- Experience managing teams that ensure work is completed as scheduled, within the established project budget, at a high level of quality, and in compliance with the contract.
- Ability to compile, summarize, interpret, and communicate earned values and financial reports.
- Estimating skills to include the ability to understand high level budgets, review estimates, closeout prepared estimates, ensure proposals are thoroughly executed, identify numerical anomalies within prepared estimates, understand labor productivity rates, manage project changes, etc.
- Perform routine site visits to identify, document, and communicate issues related to scope changes, schedule conflicts, material shortages, manpower adjustment, quality control, safety, etc. and support the team in rectifying such issues.
- Coordinate regularly with enterprise departments to ensure efficient navigation and coordination of internal processes to culminate in field installations that meet expectations outlined by the project documents.
- Ability to quickly anticipate, identify, analyze, and resolve problems
- Advanced understanding of project sequencing and the corresponding relationship to the scheduling process with the ability to identify, communicate, and recoup costs associated with schedule changes.
- Ability to direct project teams in efficient change management to include the quantification, compilation, submission, management, negotiation, and execution of change orders.
- Support team in managing subcontractor relationships.
- Manage your teams yearly employee performance evaluation process giving accurate non-bias job performance appraisals, setting goals, creating expectations, and offering constructive feedback
- Cultivate new business relationships while maintaining existing customer relationships.
- Participate in a culture of continuous learning, training and skill development while encouraging the same from the team.
- Effectively communicate project information to both internal and external project stakeholders.
- Advanced contract management skills to include a detailed understanding of contract language with a demonstrated ability to negotiate contract terms.
- Encourage a merit based, competitive, and cooperative environment
- High level understanding of other trades scopes and sequencing thereof.
- Coordinate with the Safety Team to ensure teams are complying with safe work practices.
- Coordinate, attend, and conduct meetings as required to execute the responsibilities of the role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of (10) years experience in the management of electrical construction operations
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or (5) years of related field experience
- Data Center, Healthcare, and Light Industrial experience
- Experience managing projects / portfolios in excess of $100 million
- Ability to travel to various job sites, client headquarters, etc. approximately 4 nights per month.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills
- Experience using Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and/or Accubid
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
