What Our Client Needs
Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Lead to own and execute their cybersecurity program in a fully cloud-based environment. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on security operations, incident response, and risk remediation.

What You’ll Do
You will lead daily cybersecurity operations and partner across teams to strengthen security posture.
- Run day-to-day security operations across cloud, identity, applications, and SaaS platforms
- Act as senior escalation point for alerts and incidents
- Coordinate incident response with internal teams and managed SOC
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and lead follow-up actions
- Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps across systems
- Drive remediation efforts and track progress
- Support audits, assessments, and security inquiries
- Design and improve Azure security controls across environments
- Review configurations and remediate misconfigurations
- Implement IAM controls, encryption, and monitoring solutions
- Support secure application development practices
- Implement secure networking and Zero Trust principles
- Monitor network activity and respond to anomalies
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business teams to embed security practices
- Communicate risks and recommendations to varied audiences
- Maintain security standards, documentation, and playbooks
This role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities. Limited travel may be required based on business needs.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 6–8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or security operations
- Experience with incident response and risk remediation
- Strong knowledge of Azure security and cloud architecture
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, segmentation)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Zscaler, Intune, or similar tools
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST CSF
- Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell and/or Python)
- Strong communication skills
- Preferred: Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500), CISSP, CCSP, or similar certifications

- Salary range of $120,000 to $145,000
