What Our Client Needs
Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Lead to own and execute their cybersecurity program in a fully cloud-based environment. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on security operations, incident response, and risk remediation.

What You’ll Do

You will lead daily cybersecurity operations and partner across teams to strengthen security posture.

  • Run day-to-day security operations across cloud, identity, applications, and SaaS platforms
  • Act as senior escalation point for alerts and incidents
  • Coordinate incident response with internal teams and managed SOC
  • Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and lead follow-up actions
  • Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps across systems
  • Drive remediation efforts and track progress
  • Support audits, assessments, and security inquiries
  • Design and improve Azure security controls across environments
  • Review configurations and remediate misconfigurations
  • Implement IAM controls, encryption, and monitoring solutions
  • Support secure application development practices
  • Implement secure networking and Zero Trust principles
  • Monitor network activity and respond to anomalies
  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business teams to embed security practices
  • Communicate risks and recommendations to varied audiences
  • Maintain security standards, documentation, and playbooks

This role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities. Limited travel may be required based on business needs.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 6–8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or security operations
  • Experience with incident response and risk remediation
  • Strong knowledge of Azure security and cloud architecture
  • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, segmentation)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Zscaler, Intune, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with security frameworks such as NIST CSF
  • Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell and/or Python)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Preferred: Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500), CISSP, CCSP, or similar certifications

  • Salary range of $120,000 to $145,000
