Keep HCC’s plants running by leading people, plans, and preventive strategies that reduce downtime and elevate quality.
What you’ll own
- Team leadership: build a skilled, engaged maintenance crew focused on safe, cost-effective work.
- Safety culture: maintain a safe work environment; lead daily safety talks and weekly equipment/process/expansion reviews.
- Work execution: ensure all jobs are completed efficiently, economically, and safely.
- Planning & scheduling: finalize labor, parts, and priorities; manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Dispatch & control: assign mechanics to specific tasks at shift start; make tactical decisions to adhere to schedule.
- Continuous improvement: act on mechanic suggestions to enhance planning and methods.
- Downtime analytics: produce detailed reports that inform proactive responses and best practices.
- Materials & systems: help set up and sustain the storeroom, shop standards, and CMMS accuracy.
- Systems expertise: leverage SAP for work orders, equipment data, inventory tracking; train mechanics on SAP.
- Partnerships: collaborate with Operations to deliver excellent internal customer service.
- Availability: maintain on-call status as required.

- SAP for work orders, equipment records, inventory, and reporting
- CMMS discipline to drive reliability
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for communication and analysis
Schedule and physical requirements
- Work on weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts (days/swings/graveyard).
- Lift up to 60 lbs as needed.
Background that fits
- High School Diploma + 4 years related experience OR Associate’s + 3 years OR Bachelor’s + 1 year.
- Proven strengths in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
