Engineering Manager | Delta Township, MI
Salary Range: $118,000 - $167,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Delta Township that are seeking skilled Engineering Managers. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Oversee the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and deliverables.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion within established parameters.
- Implement and enforce engineering best practices, standards, and safety protocols.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to advance manufacturing capabilities.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma), and process optimization in a production environment.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple engineering projects from conception to completion.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff.
- Experience with relevant manufacturing technologies and systems (e.g., CAD/CAM, PLM, ERP).
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in manufacturing.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MS, MBA) in a relevant field.
- Patent or publication record related to engineering or manufacturing.
