NIRA Inc, a fast-growing women-owned small business, is seeking a junior Project Manager to support a critical FAA program and support the modernization of the Air Traffic Control critical systems by facilitating IP infrastructure migration. The Individual needs to demonstrate the ability to work within a team to resolve issues and present solutions to senior leadership. This position requires strong analytical and engineering skills, the ability to collect and combine information from multiple sources to create a comprehensive picture of the project, and collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
Required: Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance (Be present in the United States 3 years of the last 5 years)
Responsibilities:
- Support and coordinate the system implementation work, track and process IP address requests, and complete telco service requests related to network provisioning.
- Assist in building and maintaining an IP management database or similar repository.
- Support ongoing commissioning of new system channels, handling future IP assignments and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with test teams to verify VoIP performance, troubleshoot issues related to SIP/RTP call quality, delay, noise, and provisioning.
- Contribute to documentation: logs, database schemas, SOPs, IP allocation plans, and change control records.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to track status of deliverables and prepare status reports.
- Serve as a liaison and coordinate with program offices, group manager's office, director's office and provide status reports
- Analyze, distill, and present data in high-visibility key stakeholder meetings.
- Coordinate project milestones, constraints, solutions, status of active and future projects.
- Compile, assess and analyze large data sets from various sources to identify coordination requirements, impacts, solutions, and recommendations.
- Examine project requirements across various initiatives and provide recommendations for comprehensive program planning purposes.
- Participate/Lead meetings as needed, and develop documentation, presentations, briefings, white papers, etc.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience in IP networking or system engineering roles.
- Preferred professional certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with a focus on requirement analysis, and the ability to manipulate and present data effectively to a wide variety of audiences.
- Be quality conscious with focus on delivering products of a high caliber.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize assignments and workload.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
- Strong data analysis, program evaluation and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to employ problem-solving techniques in unique situations.
Education:
Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical / Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
