As a Master/Licensed Plumber, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex residential and commercial plumbing systems. This role requires leading installations for new construction and remodel projects, responding promptly to emergency plumbing calls, and mentoring apprentice and journeyman plumbers. You will also ensure compliance with building codes, manage permits and inspections, and maintain clear communication with customers and internal teams. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, sump pumps, and sewer lines
- Lead and perform plumbing installations for new construction and remodels
- Respond timely to 24/7 emergency plumbing calls with professionalism
- Perform drain cleaning, hydro-jetting, video camera inspections, and excavation-related plumbing tasks
- Mentor and oversee apprentice and journeyman plumbers on job sites
- Ensure compliance with state, local, and municipal codes and safety regulations
- Pull permits and coordinate inspections as needed
- Communicate clearly with customers, explaining issues and solutions with upfront pricing
- Document work completed, parts used, and time spent accurately for billing and records
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working order
- Collaborate with dispatch and operations to prioritize and schedule service calls efficiently
Required Qualifications
- Active Master Plumber license in the applicable state
- Minimum 7+ years of hands-on plumbing experience, including 2+ years at the Master Plumber level
- Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and best practices
- Experience with both residential and commercial plumbing systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with water damage restoration services
- Familiarity with hydro-jetting equipment and sewer camera systems
- Prior experience in a franchise or multi-location service environment
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- EPA or other relevant trade certifications
