The Water/Mold Technician plays a critical role in assessing and mitigating water and mold damage in residential and commercial properties. Working primarily within small specialized teams, and sometimes as an individual contributor, this role involves daily travel to 1-2 job sites where the technician applies standard remediation tools and techniques to restore affected environments effectively. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential to ensure safety and customer satisfaction throughout the remediation process.
Responsibilities
- Conduct water damage assessments to determine the extent of damage.
- Set up containment areas to prevent cross-contamination during remediation.
- Measure moisture levels using specialized equipment for accurate evaluation.
- Perform mold and water damage remediation according to established procedures.
- Operate standard remediation equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow strict safety protocols to protect self and clients.
- Interact professionally with customers to explain processes and answer questions.
- Complete site cleanup ensuring proper disposal of materials and restoration readiness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in water and mold remediation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of mold remediation and water damage restoration processes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
Hourly Pay
- More experience in remediation and construction, can yield higher hourly pay
