Job Description

We are seeking an energetic Receptionist to welcome general medical patients and support a smooth, timely office experience. Reporting to the Office Manager, this role performs front-desk and clerical functions, including patient check-in, scheduling, insurance verification, and visitor assistance while helping patients feel welcomed at every visit.

Responsibilities

Greet patients with a welcoming, professional demeanor.
Assist with patient check-in and provide intake forms.
Schedule patient appointments.
Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and basic authorizations.
Collect co-pays and deductibles.
Answer inbound telephone calls and assist visitors.
Coordinate with the team to help patients be seen in a timely manner.
Perform other office tasks as needed to support daily operations.

Preferred Qualifications

One or more years of experience in medical reception or a physician office setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience with appointment scheduling software and electronic health records, including Epic.
Knowledge of insurance verification, medical terminology, telephone etiquette, and data entry.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
