ARES is hiring a senior software security engineer to support a critical Department of Defense cybersecurity program. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience supporting software security assessments in accordance with DoD and Navy requirements, including RMF processes and STIG compliance The candidate should have experience supporting software engineering projects, secure code development, code review, third party library assessment, red team activities, penetration testing, and reverse engineering.
This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the software and cybersecurity fields.
- Minimum IAT Level II certification (e.g., CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or equivalent)
- Linux+ or equivalent certification.
- Proficient in technical services and analysis with knowledge of cybersecurity standards, principles, practices, and processes.
- Secret clearance.
