If you can spot a compressor issue by sound, trace a P&ID in your sleep, and thrive in ammonia refrigeration environments, let’s talk. We’re a top food processing and distribution team seeking a Utilities pro to elevate reliability across our plant.
Is this you?
- Have 3+ years working with ammonia refrigeration utilities? Required.
- Know boilers, industrial steam, and plant utility systems inside and out? Required.
- Confident reading mechanical, piping, and electrical schematics/blueprints? Required.
- Bring a high school diploma or equivalent? Required. (Associate’s or a two-year technical certificate is a plus.)
- Hold training/certs like Ammonia Operator Level I/II, GCAP, RETA, CARO, or CIRO? Preferred.
- Used PSM and SAP in previous roles? Preferred.
- Comfortable coordinating with contractors and vendors? Preferred.
What will you work on?
- Operate, monitor, service, and repair steam, refrigeration, water, compressed air, and HVAC systems
- Complete rounds and maintain accurate logs for the engine room, boiler room, and refrigeration equipment
- Sample and analyze boiler and condenser tower water
- Troubleshoot ammonia systems—compressors, condensers, pumps, vessels/recirculatory, purges, evaporators/RMAUs, heat exchangers, and control/isolation valves—per OEM guidance
- Maintain steam boilers, hot water heaters, HVAC units, air compressors, and facility support equipment
- Participate in the PSM Program and document work in SAP/SIGGA for PMs and corrective tasks
- Keep engine rooms, boiler room, MCC rooms, shops, and other areas clean and organized
- Perform/assist with PMs using SOPs, LOTO, and P train colleagues where relevant
- Support equipment installations, startups, adjustments, and continuous improvement projects
- Pitch in with overtime and holiday coverage when needed
