Pay Range: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
Anticipated employment period: May 1, 2026 - October 31, 2026
Position Summary
The Trails Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair and construction of trail systems to ensure safe, sustainable, and enjoyable access for users. This position performs routine inspections, erosion control, vegetation management while operating hand tools, power equipment and light machinery. The Trails Technician works independently and as part of a team, follows environmental and safety standards and supports long-term sustainability through proactive maintenance.
Primary Job Functions
•Maintain and repair trails, bridges, steps, erosion and related infrastructure to ensure safe member and guest access.
•Perform routine trail inspections to identify hazards, erosion issues, and maintenance needs.
•Clear and manage vegetation on tails and along corridors using hand tools and mowing equipment.
•Remove debris, fallen trees and obstacles from trails.
•Assist with trail signage installation and wayfinding improvements.
•Work collaboratively with property Managers and Shooting and Archery Sports Coordinator.
Auxiliary Job Functions
•Engage with club members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
•Ensure all activities align with safety regulations and best practices.
•Provide clear, courteous communication with trails users and managers regarding trail conditions,safety concerns and project progress.
•Participate in planned meetings, trainings, and organizational activities.
•Perform related dues as assigned to support overall club operations.
Education, Training, and Skills Requirements
• High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent work experience.
• High level of organization, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must operate efficiently and calmly in a dynamic outdoor environment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and move about freely in a multi-floor building and open space. The employee is frequently required to visually observe the condition of their surroundings. He/she is routinely required to bend, stoop, stand, walk, carry, and lift objects weighing 50 pounds or less. It is inevitable that other duties will arise from time to time.
