Tool & Die Maker

We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker for a manufacturing organization in Mundelein, IL. This position is responsible for building, modifying, maintaining, and troubleshooting tooling to support production and meet customer specifications.

Requirements of the Tool & Die Maker

• TMA certification or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of tool and die experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in operating toolroom equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities of the Tool & Die Maker

• Build and troubleshoot new tooling according to design requirements and specifications
• Modify existing tooling to accommodate customer changes and production requirements
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot tooling to minimize downtime and support uninterrupted production
• Perform changeovers on multi-part tooling setups
• Support tooling needs across departments and manufacturing operations
• Communicate project progress and job status to the department manager
• Manage multiple assignments efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Collaborate with team members to support production goals and maintain tooling performance

1st shift available, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $40.00 - $45.00 hourly, based on experience
