Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join a growing engineering team. In this role, you will design and coordinate electrical systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal projects. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality construction documents and support projects from design through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

- \n
- Design electrical systems for new construction, renovations, and tenant improvement projects.
- Develop electrical plans for:
- Power distribution systems
- Interior and exterior lighting
- Emergency and standby power
- Fire alarm systems
- Low-voltage and communication systems
- Equipment power connections and controls
- Perform electrical load calculations and equipment sizing.
- Prepare one-line diagrams, riser diagrams, panel schedules, and electrical documentation.
- Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and civil teams.
- Prepare and review construction drawings and technical documents.
- Respond to RFIs and review shop drawings and equipment submittals.
- Conduct occasional site visits and assist with project closeout activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and industry standards.
- Support quality assurance efforts and assist in mentoring junior designers.

Qualifications:
\n
- \n
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–7 years of electrical design experience in an MEP consulting, engineering, or design-build environment.
- Experience preparing electrical construction documents for commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of building electrical systems, construction methods, and project coordination.
