Job Description

As a Security Officer - Factory Roving Patrol in Delaware, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized personnel to the proper location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems as assigned and respond to alerts in accordance with post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including completing initial notifications and coordinating with on-site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
  • Observe and report hazards, equipment issues, and property damage that could impact operations, and submit notifications through the designated reporting process.
  • Support shipping and receiving activity by observing trailer drop lots and dock areas, verifying access as directed, and documenting notable activity.
  • Complete detailed, accurate, and timely security-related reports, including shift logs, incident reports, patrol documentation, and maintenance requests for damaged barriers, gates, and/or locks.
  • Provide courteous directions and assistance to visitors while maintaining awareness of restricted areas and escort requirements when assigned.
  • Participate in drills and training as directed, maintain required certifications, and follow Allied Universal and site-specific standards for uniform, conduct, and communications.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
