Position Overview
The Tax Manager in Private Client Services will lead tax compliance and advisory services for high-net-worth individuals and families. This role involves managing client relationships, overseeing the preparation and review of tax returns, and providing strategic tax planning advice to optimize clients' financial positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage tax and consulting engagements for high-net-worth clients and closely held businesses, including review of individual, trust, estate, S-Corp, foundation, partnership, and gift tax returns and ensure compliance with professional standards
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for tax-related inquiries and services.
- Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients, including estate and gift tax strategies, investment tax strategies, and retirement planning.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing training and guidance on tax compliance and advisory work.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and industry trends to ensure clients receive the highest level of service and expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax compliance and planning for high-net-worth individuals.
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations and compliance issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
