As a Store Manager at Piggly Wiggly, you aren't just following a handbook-you are the CEO of your location. We are independently owned and operated, meaning we empower our Store Managers to take an entrepreneurial approach. From deciding weekly sales projections to scouting new local vendors, you have the autonomy to shape your store to meet the unique needs of your community.Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Direct the entire management team, including Assistant Managers and Department Heads. You set the tone for culture, ethics, and operational excellence.
  • Business Growth: Establish strategic goals by analyzing financial trends and market data. You'll be responsible for forecasting requirements and maintaining weekly, monthly, and annual budgets.
  • Team Development: Build and maintain a high-performing staff through active recruiting, interviewing, and continuous coaching. You are responsible for appraising results and enforcing productivity standards.
  • Operational Integrity: Ensure the highest standards of food safety, variety, and sanitation. You will manage all aspects of merchandising, loss prevention, and facility safety.
  • Community & Guest Relations: Drive legendary guest satisfaction by resolving complex service issues and identifying trends to improve the shopping experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: Proven track record in retail or grocery management (Highly Recommended).
  • Financial Acumen: Strong ability to analyze variances, manage payroll budgets, and initiate corrective actions to meet financial objectives.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive leader who enjoys identifying new business opportunities and local vendor partnerships.
