About The Job:
We’re Ferocious Media, an experienced, award-winning, full-service Digital Marketing Agency for the Trades. We offer a variety of digital solutions for our home service clients, specializing in website design & development, organic search, paid advertising, social media management, local SEO, and graphic design.
We’re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Web Designer to join our team as a part-time contractor. In this role, you’ll support our design team by creating wireframes via Figma and visual assets for websites. You’ll play a key role in bringing digital experiences to life. You can expect to work 25-30 hours per week in this contractor role.
This position is a Remote role. Candidates residing in the Eastern Time Zone are preferred.
What You’ll Do / Responsibilities:
- Produce high-fidelity wireframes & moodboards for our home service clients via Figma that are visually compelling, keeping UI/UX and best practices in mind.
- Design graphic elements for websites, including banners, icons, custom maps, and backgrounds
- Collaborate with web designers and developers to ensure assets align with site functionality and user experience
- Leverage AI-powered tools to assist in generating design concepts, graphics, and image enhancements
- Source high-quality, brand-appropriate images for new website projects
- Maintain brand consistency across all visual designs
- Organize and prepare files for development hand-off, ensuring your work is thoroughly QC’ed
What We’re Looking For:
- Expert-level knowledge of Figma
- 2-4 years of experience in digital design (agency experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
- Familiarity with AI tools for design (e.g., Freepik, Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, DALL·E, Runway, or similar & AI tools within Adobe, Figma, Google)
- A strong eye for layout, color, typography, and composition
- Understanding of basic design principles for web and mobile interfaces
- Ability to follow processes, manage projects, meet deadlines, and properly QC
- A portfolio showcasing web & digital design work
- Possess problem-solving skills to assess task requirements and research solutions independently
- Comfortable working in a remote environment, managing your schedule, and maintaining strong communication with a virtual team
Nice To Haves: not required, but a plus
- Experience working with WordPress or other CMS platforms
- Knowledge of responsive design best practices
- Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS
- Home Service knowledge
