Job DescriptionWV Property & Casualty Insurance Agent – Temp-to-Hire United Talent is seeking a professional, customer-focused Property & Casualty Insurance Agent for a temp-to-hire opportunity with an established insurance agency in West Virginia. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, providing insurance solutions, and building long-term client relationships. Schedule & Pay: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Pay Starts at $17.00/hour. Once fully trained commission structure will be implemented Responsibilities The Insurance Agent will work directly with current and prospective customers and will be responsible for:
- Answering incoming customer calls and providing professional assistance
- Discussing customers' insurance needs and coverage options
- Preparing and providing insurance quotes
- Assisting customers with changes to existing insurance policies
- Reviewing policy information and answering general coverage questions
- Providing excellent customer service to current and prospective policyholders
- Maintaining accurate customer and policy information
- Entering and updating information within Agency Matrix CRM
- Completing general clerical and administrative duties
- Processing insurance-related documentation and correspondence
- Following up with customers regarding quotes, policy changes, renewals, and requested information
- Maintaining confidentiality of customer and policy information
- Working with insurance carriers and agency staff to resolve customer questions or concerns
Insurance Knowledge Candidates should have a basic understanding of Property & Casualty insurance products. Depending upon the agency's book of business, this may include:
- Homeowners insurance
- Renters insurance
- Automobile insurance
- Commercial property insurance
- General liability insurance
- Commercial automobile coverage
- Workers' compensation
- Other Property & Casualty products offered by the agency
Licensing Requirements A current West Virginia Property & Casualty Insurance Producer license is required Candidate Requirements
- Current Property & Casualty insurance license preferred
- Previous insurance agency experience is a plus
- Basic knowledge of insurance terminology and coverage
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic computer and clerical skills
- Ability to learn insurance software and CRM systems
- Ability to manage multiple customer requests and priorities
- Dependable, organized, and willing to learn
- Ability to maintain confidential customer information
