Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team, responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or supervise maintenance activities. The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining safety standards, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across our operations.

Duties

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and interpret schematics to diagnose faults accurately.
  • Conduct welding repairs and perform residential painting as needed for facility upkeep.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Supervise or assist with projects involving facilities maintenance, equipment upgrades, or installations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility standards during all maintenance procedures.
  • Lead or assist in training junior team members or apprentices in maintenance best practices.
  • Support manufacturing processes by minimizing downtime through swift response to equipment issues.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical components, and schematics interpretation.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and troubleshooting automation systems.
  • Proficiency in welding techniques and residential painting for facility repairs.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and documentation.
  • Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
  • Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices within manufacturing environments.
  • Leadership experience in supervising or mentoring maintenance staff or teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and other departments.
