About the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice
Our client’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice represents a broad range of stakeholders in workouts, out-of-court restructurings, Chapter 11 and Chapter 9 bankruptcy cases, and related federal and state court litigation. The team advises secured and unsecured creditors, creditor committees, bondholders, trustees, debtors, and other parties in insolvency and distressed situations. With deep experience across industries, the practice provides comprehensive solutions to complex restructuring challenges.
Responsibilities
We are seeking an associate with at least one year of business bankruptcy and restructuring experience to join a leading practice in New York or Boston. Responsibilities include:

Supporting in-court Chapter 11 practice and out-of-court restructurings

Conducting legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs

Assisting with case strategy, filings, and hearings

Collaborating with colleagues and clients on all aspects of restructuring matters
This position requires working from the office approximately 60% of the time, consistent with firm guidelines.
Qualifications

JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school

Admitted (or eligible for admission) in Massachusetts or New York

Minimum of 1 year of bankruptcy and restructuring experience

Strong legal research and writing skills

Excellent verbal communication and client-facing professionalism

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $225,000 – $235,000
