ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage receipt of orders for all valuation services. Review orders for completeness and accuracy. Provide guidance to lending staff in selecting the most appropriate valuation service for the project (appraisal, third-party evaluation, internal evaluation, and/or validity check).
- Manage the process of ordering appraisals and selecting appraisers from the approved appraiser panel, based upon property type and appraiser qualifications, to receive proposals for the assignment. Deliver proposals to the selected appraisers using the appropriate appraisal management platform. Review proposals and select most qualified appraisers for the appraisal assignment. Engage successful bidders and notify non-successful bidders. Manage lending staff and/or appraiser communications during the appraisal process and resolve any issues. Accept completed appraisal report via the appropriate appraisal management platform.
- Manage the process and assignment of appraisal or evaluation reports to third-party review providers. Upon completion and/or receipt of appraisal/evaluation review, work directly with the appraiser to resolve any deficiencies and/or required revisions. Communicate appraisal and review results and opinions with Lending and Credit Department staff to ensure the collateral will support the loan transaction within bank policy.
- Manage all third-party vendor relationships for compliance with laws, regulations, and bank policy, as well as for reliability and accuracy.
- Maintain user access and permissions for all valuation service-related applications: FICRAS, CoreLogic/Mercury, Stewart Valuation Intelligence, Lender’s 1st Choice, and ClearCapital. Perform Annual Audits on all valuation service-related vendors, including appraisal management companies (AMCs). Maintain monthly and annual ISO checklists and user list. Review and approve all valuation service-related invoices. Monitor and report on monthly valuation service order volume.
- Manage, solicit and approve appraisers for addition to the bank's approved appraiser panel. Review and maintain the bank's approved appraiser panel for compliance with licensing and insurance requirements.
- Review and maintain the following Policies and Procedures on an annual basis: Appraisal Policy, Environmental Investigation Policy, Reconsideration of Value (ROV) Procedure, Residential Lending AMC Onboarding Procedure, Commercial-Government Guaranteed Lending Appraisal Procedure.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank’s policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members, developing and ensuring that adequate redundancy and succession strategies exist, planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Working knowledge of real estate and real estate appraisals.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct employee management experience.
- Four-year college degree with business related major or comparable work experience.
- Must work well under pressure with multiple deadlines and have excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft office products.
- Extended hours sitting and performing computer tasks may be required.
