We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to support the installation, setup, testing, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment. The person will help install new production lines, get machines running properly, fix mechanical issues, and ensure the equipment is ready for manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and set up new manufacturing equipment and production lines.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with machines and equipment.
- Test, align, and calibrate equipment after installation to ensure it works correctly.
- Work with engineers, vendors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to identify and fix problems.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- Suggest improvements to make machines safer, more reliable, and more efficient.
- Identify required spare parts and maintain equipment documentation.
- Help train manufacturing operators on new equipment and updated processes.
- Follow all industrial safety procedures and ensure installations are completed on time.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience installing new equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical troubleshooting, equipment installation, and machine startup.
- Knowledge of motors, pneumatic systems, gears, and other mechanical components.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
