Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee all maintenance operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that our infrastructure, machinery, and equipment are always in optimal working condition, compliant with safety standards, and cost-effective. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a knack for fixing things. You will be responsible for living our mission and values every day. We are seeking a Maintenance Director who is passionate about working with and around the elderly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures specific to long-term care facilities.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of infrastructure, machinery, and equipment.
- Plan and manage the maintenance budget.
- Coordinate with other departments to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.
- Perform regular audits to identify aging infrastructure and repair or replace as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including those specific to healthcare facilities.
- Maintain records of all maintenance and repair work done.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Director or similar role in a long-term care or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and systems.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws, codes, and regulations that apply to maintenance services in long-term care facilities or healthcare facilities.
