The Shift Supervisor is responsible for supervisory oversight in the Single Serve Ready to Drink (RTD) Department. A key responsibility of the position is to ensure the timely and efficient production and delivery of products through direct, coordinated supervision. This individual will be responsible for the cost effective utilization of employee resources and capital resources required to operate a group manufacturing department.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
Schedule 3:15pm - 1:45am Mon-Thu

Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs/oversees setup and adjustments of machines.

Ensures all areas of the plant are following company standards in their daily production runs.

Supervise the production activity within the Single Serve department to achieve Safety, Quality, and Delivery, Cost, and Productivity objectives on a daily basis.

Performance Management: Accomplish objectives by communicating job expectations to employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; Hold direct reports accountable for their performance; coaching, counseling, and performance management of employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

May be asked to assist periodic reviews of employees as directed by management

Coordinate activities with other departments, including; Processing, Multi Serveand Warehouse

Participate in the development and implementation of cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.

Prepare reports and be prepared to discuss with management the status of departmental and/ or individual metrics, workload and current projects.

Ensure that all routine functions and mandatory paperwork are performed accurately and completed at the required frequencies.

Maintain qualified workforce at the proper level, to meet production schedules.

Address safety concerns; ensure employees use prescribed safe work methods and utilize proper safety equipment.

Motivate employees through involvement with group activities, being sensitive to individual needs.

Interface directly with other departments regarding problems and opportunities, finding methods to enhance quality and timely-efficient production and delivery.

Assist in setting standards, work methods and processes.

May Need to Work Weekends

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Associates Degree in science or management related field preferred, a minimum of 4 years experience in a supervisor capacity

3+ years experience in a dairy, food/beverage manufacturing facility
-
Completion of food and safety related courses a plus.

Ability towork in a fast paced, environment
Salary info:
$31.25 - $34.85 / hr
