We are seeking a dependable Maintenance Helper to perform routine building maintenance and upkeep of facilities, ensuring all systems and equipment are functioning properly. This full-time role supports the maintenance team and involves minor repairs, cleaning, outdoor maintenance, and assisting with special projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform minor repairs (e.g., doors, locks, plumbing, and electrical).
- Maintain cleanliness of indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Conduct inspections of equipment and electrical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
- Operate maintenance tools and equipment, including forklifts and diagnostic tools.
- Respond promptly to emergency repairs and clean-ups.
- Track and replenish maintenance supplies as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of elementary school required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in facility maintenance.
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet attendance standards.
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and working at heights.
Work Environment
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, moderate noise, and outdoor weather conditions.
- Use of cleaning fluids, solvents, and power tools.
