Compensation

• Traveler Pay: Up to $1,503 per week

Schedule

• Hours: 40 Hours per Week
• Shift Options:
  • Mid Shift: 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM (5 x 8-hour shifts)
  • Night Shift: 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM (5 x 8-hour shifts)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Shift Assignment: Cannot be changed once accepted

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for residents requiring skilled nursing services, rehabilitation support, memory care, and wound care, with a strong commitment to resident safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
• Perform medication passes while following established medication safety protocols.
• Assess residents and monitor for changes in condition, reporting significant findings promptly.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized nursing care plans.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Supervise and provide guidance to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) on assigned units.
• Deliver compassionate care to residents, including those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate resident care.
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and facility policies.
• Perform additional nursing duties within the scope of practice as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) or higher from an accredited nursing program.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of Long-Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing experience.
• Experience caring for residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia preferred.

Required Licensure & Certifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Proof of active RN license must be submitted with the application.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Additional Information

• 16-week contract assignment.
• 40 hours per week with mid or night shift availability.
• Every other weekend is required.
• First-time travelers and local candidates are welcome.
• Candidates must successfully complete a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation.
• Patient ratio: Approximately 1:18–20.
• Charting System: PointClickCare (PCC).

• Solid-color scrubs with closed-toe shoes required.
• Required onboarding and compliance modules must be completed prior to the assignment start date.
