Shoe Fitter
The Shoe Fitter is responsible for assisting patients with selecting and fitting the appropriate shoes and footwear based on their individual needs. This position involves working directly with patients, taking measurements, helping patients try on different styles and sizes, and making sure the footwear fits properly and comfortably. The Shoe Fitter will also assist with basic paperwork, maintain an organized work area, and provide friendly and professional customer service.
No previous experience is required. The company will provide training on proper shoe fitting, measurements, products, procedures, and other job responsibilities. The ideal candidate is someone who is dependable, has good common sense, is comfortable working with people, and is willing to learn and improve.
Requirements:
- No previous shoe fitting or DME experience required; training will be provided.
- Must speak and understand English and Spanish.
- Good common sense and the ability to follow instructions.
- Willingness to learn new skills and procedures.
- Must be open to constructive criticism and willing to make improvements.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Patient, respectful, and comfortable working with different types of customers.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with selecting and trying on appropriate footwear.
- Measure patients' feet and assist with proper shoe fitting.
- Make adjustments and provide assistance to ensure proper fit and comfort.
- Explain basic footwear information and care instructions to patients.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Maintain an organized and clean fitting area.
- Assist with inventory and keeping footwear properly organized.
- Communicate with coworkers and management regarding patient needs or concerns.
- Follow all company procedures and training provided.
- Continue learning and improving fitting skills through hands-on training and feedback.
- Provide friendly, respectful, and professional service to every patient.
