Job DescriptionA day in the life

Step onto the production floor of a premier printing and manufacturing environment and take charge of a semi-automatic, non-textile graphic screen print press. You’ll dial in registration, verify mesh and squeegee settings, mix inks, and run test pulls to lock in color and speed. Throughout the shift, you’ll monitor UV curing, confirm adhesion on plastic substrates, document quality checks, and adjust mechanics to keep output precise and efficient. Along the way, you’ll communicate with teammates, care for equipment, and spot opportunities to improve the process.

Core Responsibilities

  • Press setup and run: Independently set up and operate a semi-automatic graphic (non-textile) screen print press for consistent, efficient production.
  • Quality & troubleshooting: Resolve print issues; fine-tune mechanical operations to maintain registration, color accuracy, and production speed.
  • Materials expertise: Work confidently with inks, print-related chemicals, and common plastic print substrates.
  • Color management: Judge and sustain tight color consistency across production runs.
  • UV curing: Verify proper operation of ultra-violet (UV) curing equipment to ensure correct ink curing.
  • Process improvement: Identify risks and areas for improvement; share insights with key stakeholders to maximize results.
  • Asset care: Use company resources wisely and maintain equipment to extend life and performance.
  • Safety & compliance: Follow safety protocols; promptly report risks, incidents, injuries, and near-misses.
  • Professional relationships: Build positive relationships with coworkers, vendors, partners, and regulatory entities.
  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive and proprietary information with discretion.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • General familiarity with the printing industry.
  • Technical: Strong PC proficiency and eagerness to learn new technical skills.
  • Core strengths: Meticulous attention to detail, integrity, and a commitment to top-quality work.
  • Work style: Self-driven; able to work independently and collaborate within a team.
  • Time management: Skilled at problem-solving, multitasking, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication in English.
  • Diversity & inclusion: Culturally aware; comfortable working with a highly diverse workforce and community.
  • Schedule: Willing to work non-standard hours, including occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years operating a graphic screen printing press.
  • Experience with calipers, densitometers, and/or spectrophotometers.
