GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Garud is seeking a Contract Administrator to support the full lifecycle of contracts and sub-contracts, including drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and ensuring compliance across a variety of commercial, government, and vendor agreements. This role works closely with business stakeholders to ensure contracts are accurate, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and skilled at balancing risk with business needs. This position reports the Vice President of Contracts and Compliance.
This opportunity will work in a hybrid fashion, with required weekly office hours in our Tysons, Virginia, office location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews, drafts, and analyzes prime contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, teaming agreements, and contract modifications.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including but not limited to FAR, agency supplements, and internal corporate policies.
- Supports contract lifecycle activities, including award setup, option periods, modifications, and closeout.
- Assists with negotiations by preparing redlines, assessing risks, and proposing compliant, business‑aligned solutions.
- Maintains accurate contract files and documentation in accordance with government and corporate record‑keeping requirements.
- Coordinates with Program Managers to interpret contract terms and funding constraints.
- Tracks and manages key contract dates such as Periods of Performance (PoP), funding, and contractual reporting deadlines.
- Prepares contract summaries, compliance checklists, and risk analyses for internal stakeholders.
- Supports proposal efforts by reviewing RFPs, identifying contract/terms risks, and coordinating required inputs.
- Prepares subcontracts, purchase orders, and pass-through packages.
- Assists with audits and internal reviews to ensure compliance with government contracting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of documented “cradle-to-grave” contract administration experience in government contracting and sub-contracting positions.
- Knowledge of GSA Schedules, GWACs, and MACs.
- Demonstrated attention to detail when faced with competing priorities.
- Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills plus strong analytical and organizational skills and abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Suite of software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Outlook) to create and maintain documents and communications.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
