The Environmental Service Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for staff and visitors. This role involves cleaning, and disinfecting various areas of the facility, and handling waste management.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Cleaning and Disinfection: Clean and disinfect bathrooms, offices, corridors, and other areas of the facility according to the established protocols. This includes dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and washing surfaces.
- Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash and recycling materials in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Restocking Supplies: Maintain adequate levels of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary items in assigned areas. Report supply shortages.
- Floor Care: Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and buffing floors. Operate and maintain floor care equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, equipment maintenance, and supply usage. Complete required checklist and logs.
- Deliveries: Deliver orders to local customers safely and courteously.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Quality Standards: Commitment to high-quality standards.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
- Communication: Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
- Reliability: Positive work history and ability to maintain a consistent attendance schedule.
PHYSICAL & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- Hand Dexterity: Proficient use of both dominant and non-dominant hands.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
- Lifting Requirement: Ability to lift and up to 25 pounds.
- Safety Compliance: Exposure to cleaning chemicals, and adherence to all safety protocols.
- Protective Gear: Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
