Job Title: Nursing Director – Emergency Department
Location: Fort Mill, South Carolina
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nursing Director – Emergency Department to provide strategic and operational leadership for emergency services. This role is responsible for overseeing daily departmental operations, patient care quality, staffing, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and program development. The Nursing Director will collaborate closely with hospital leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support organizational goals and meet community healthcare needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily operations of the Emergency Department and assigned clinical areas.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and effective patient care.
• Develop and implement quality improvement and process improvement initiatives.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development for Nurse Managers and staff.
• Oversee staffing, resource utilization, operating budgets, and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation, licensing, regulatory, and nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with medical staff and hospital leadership to develop and improve programs and services.
• Support organizational initiatives and foster a positive, high-performing work environment.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Business Administration required within 5 years.
• 3–5 years of experience in an acute care facility, including at least 2 years of experience in the specialty area.
• Previous management experience required.
• Valid Permanent Multi-State RN License required.
• Candidates holding an RN license from another Compact state must obtain a Multi-State RN License from their state of residence within 30 days.
• BLS (American Heart Association) and CPI certifications required.
