Maintenance Technician

A manufacturing company in Carol Stream, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support plant operations in a corrugated packaging environment. This role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery to quickly restore operational efficiency
• Diagnose and resolve issues with conveyor systems, motors, pumps, gearboxes, chain drives, and belt/pulley systems
• Perform PLC troubleshooting to identify and correct equipment and process issues
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and recommend corrective actions as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and completed repairs
• Adhere to all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and plant safety protocols

Requirements of the Maintenance Technician

• Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; corrugated packaging industry experience preferred but not required
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Hands-on experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• PLC troubleshooting experience
• Fabrication experience
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
• Comfortable working around industrial machinery and noise

2nd and 3rd shift available, DIRECT HIRE

Pay is $33.00 - $35.00 an hour, willing to pay more based on experience
