Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of electrical distribution equipment projects from order hand-off to final completion
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, production timelines, and resource plans
  • Review customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements to ensure accurate execution
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and sales
  • Monitor material procurement, production progress, factory testing, and delivery schedules
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and provide regular internal and customer-facing status updates
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain, production, engineering changes, and delivery timelines
  • Manage scope changes, technical revisions, and change orders in a controlled and documented manner
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee factory acceptance testing (FAT) and support field commissioning as needed
  • Track project costs and support margin objectives
  • Conduct post-project reviews to improve processes and performance

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related technical field
  • 3–7 years of project management experience in electrical distribution equipment, switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, transformers, or related power systems
  • Strong understanding of electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Experience working with manufacturing environments and production schedules
  • Knowledge of NEC, UL, IEEE, or related industry standards preferred
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar certification is a plus
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment
