About Donaldson Capital Management

Donaldson Capital Management is a wealth management firm dedicated to serving clients with truth, genuine care, and advice that always puts their interests first. As a registered investment advisor (RIA), that commitment shapes everything we do. We guide our clients with integrity and transparency, helping them confidently connect their resources to their dreams. What makes DCM different isn't just what we do, it's how we do it. We lead with a servant's heart, we take ownership of outcomes, and we hold ourselves to a standard of excellence that's as much about how people feel as what we deliver. Our team structure, systems, and culture are intentionally built, and we're looking for people who bring both entrepreneurial drive and a deep commitment to doing things right. People who celebrate wins, then raise the bar. Who believes that exceptional client relationships, operational excellence, and a builder's mindset aren't competing priorities - they're the same priority. If you want to grow inside a firm where your work has a visible impact and collective success is the measure that counts, DCM may be the place for you.

The Role

Were looking for a Systems Admin Specialist to join our technology team and support the Salesforce and Orion platforms that power our daily operations. This role works alongside our primary Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and improve our CRM and portfolio management environments.

Youll start by learning our customized systems and working through existing project backlogs, then grow into owning specific areas and driving process improvements. This is a role for someone who is genuinely interested in how systems can better serve people, not just how they function technically.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key support resource for Salesforce and Orion administration, including user account management, profiles, reporting, and permissions
  • Maintain data integrity through regular audits and assist teams with reporting, updates, and data quality improvements
  • Configure and maintain system components, including custom objects, fields, workflows, reports, and dashboards
  • Triage and troubleshoot user issues, serving as a go-to point of contact for system questions and support requests
  • Work through the existing project backlog, completing change requests and smaller system improvements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements across both platforms
  • Support system integrations and help expand the firms technology capabilities over time
  • Create and maintain system documentation and contribute to end-user training efforts

What Success Looks Like

At 90 Days:

You understand our Salesforce and Orion environments the structure, customizations, and how our teams use them. Youve built positive working relationships across the firm, youre triaging issues effectively, and youre completing smaller improvements from the project backlog.

At 1 Year:

Youre a strategic team member proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes, expanding into Orion and other integrations, and owning specific areas of the platform. Your work runs smoothly without constant oversight.

What Were Looking For

We look for production evidence: what youve built, improved, or owned. Strong candidates will bring evidence of having:

  • Administered Salesforce in a customized environment with hands-on configuration experience
  • Owned a project from start to finish implemented a new process, built out a workflow, or led a system improvement
  • Experience with Orion or similar portfolio management/reporting platforms is a strong plus
  • Salesforce Administrator certification preferred

What You Bring

  • 24 years of hands-on experience administering Salesforce
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity while learning a new environment
  • Detail-oriented with a genuine interest in how systems serve people

Who You Are

Curious and self-driven. You learn independently and ask good questions when you need to. Collaborative by nature, thriving alongside others and supporting a shared workload. Detail-oriented with strong communication skills. Comfortable navigating ambiguity while learning a new environment. Genuinely interested in how systems can better serve people, not just how they function technically.

What Wont Work Here

This role isnt the right fit for someone who guards knowledge, resists collaboration, or needs to work in isolation to be effective. Were building systems that serve people, and that requires openness, shared ownership, and a willingness to engage, not just execute. Defensiveness or possessiveness over platforms and information wont work here.

Why DCM

Youll join a firm in a meaningful moment of growth and transition. Were investing in our people, our processes, and our technology, and we want someone whos energized by that. Our size means your work will have a visible impact, and our culture means youll be supported as you grow. This is a role where you wont just maintain systems, youll help make them better.
