Overview

A growing in-house legal team is seeking a transactional paralegal to support a high-volume contracts and business-focused legal function. This role works closely with attorneys and legal leadership on contracts, research, redlining, and internal legal support.

This is not a litigation or court-centric paralegal role. The focus is on supporting day-to-day business operations through contracts, regulatory research, and internal legal projects.

This position requires at least two days per week onsite in Orange County.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with contract review and redlining (Word-based redlines and document comparisons)
  • Conduct legal research using professional research tools (statutory, regulatory, and multi-state research)
  • Review, analyze, and summarize complex and legacy contracts
  • Support internal legal requests by researching contract provisions and regulatory issues
  • Assist with intellectual property administration, including trademark maintenance and portfolio tracking
  • Partner closely with attorneys on issue-spotting, document review, and follow-ups
  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment

What They're Looking For

  • Experience as a transactional or corporate paralegal (in-house or law firm)
  • Strong contract literacy and comfort working with agreements of varying complexity
  • Ability to conduct independent legal research using tools such as Westlaw or equivalent
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working with minimal hand-holding
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work onsite at least two days per week
  • Comfortable working with a direct, fast-moving legal team

Compensation

  • $39-$48/hour, depending on experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package available

(This posting complies with California pay-transparency requirements.)

Why This Role

This is an opportunity to work in a hands-on, business-driven legal environment with exposure to real-world contracts and regulatory issues. The right paralegal will gain meaningful responsibility, close attorney interaction, and long-term growth potential within the legal function.
