Minimum Requirements:
- One (1) year or more experience as a lead or supervisor within the food industry, preferably in fine dining or hospitality
- Have or obtain a Food Handler's Card within thirty (30) days of hire
Preferred (not required):
- Knowledge of Aloha POS system is a plus
Job Duties:
- Ensure / maintain a positive environment for team members & guests:
* Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, & offering recommendations
* Provide guidance / support to team members during busy / non-busy time periods & collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals
* Motivate your team to accomplish tasks / goals
- Ensure compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) rules, regulations, & guidelines
- Assist in food preparation / ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean / organized workspace
- Assist in training new staff members
- Oversee & coordinate daily shift operations / kitchen management
- Report disciplinary actions to management (written or verbal)
- Manage inventory & supplies
- Participate in ongoing training & learning opportunities to enhance skills / knowledge
- Rotate across various positions in the restaurant to help front end / kitchen staff
- Work combination of opening, mid-shift, & closing duties
- Operate a cash register & manage transactions accurately
- Multitask in a fast-paced environment & work effectively under pressure
- Willingness to learn & adapt to changing situations & priorities
- Basic knowledge of retail math & sales principles
- Cross sell products & introduce new products
- Lift / carry items weighing up to fifty (50) pounds & stand for extended periods of time
- Perform any other duties as assigned
Employer Notes:
- The ideal candidate will have excellent time management, leadership, customer service & communication skills, with a background in fine dining & food preparation
- Regular & timely attendance is a fundamental expectation
- Will need to cross train to learn all aspects of the business
- Ninety (90) performance evaluation will be conducted by the employer
Shifts / Hours:
- Fulltime; thirty (30) or more hours per week depending on the employers need
- Will work a variety of shifts, including day, swing, & weekends
- Business hours are 10:30 AM until 10 PM; opening & closing times will be determined by the employer
- Leads can start as early as 9:30 AM & stay until 10:30 PM for opening / closing procedures
Pay:
- $17.50 per hour plus shared tips
