Systems Engineer | Logan, UT

Nexeo is hiring a Systems Engineer to support the Digital Treasury Engineering & Support team. This role works closely with business units, Technology Services Analysts, Integration Engineers, system administrators, and database administrators to implement, maintain, and enhance existing technology infrastructure. The environment includes a diverse mix of computing platforms (mainframes, servers, workstations) using both off-the-shelf and custom applications. The ideal candidate can support both business application functionality and the underlying technology stack.

Responsibilities

Manage system-related functions including incident, change, system, and project management
Troubleshoot websites, applications, and user access issues
Document incident items and escalate issues as needed
Coordinate issue resolution and validate service restoration
Assist in troubleshooting servers, transmissions, and firewall access issues
Perform application troubleshooting and recommend improvements or changes
Facilitate new or enhanced change management requests and post-change validations
Configure installed software across all environments, perform fine tuning, and maintain application documentation
Monitor applications and infrastructure, coordinating alerts with enterprise management and business units
Perform day-to-day administration, application runtime support, system upgrades, and new system installations
Support vulnerability review, remediation, cybersecurity efforts, and process definition and implementation
Conduct server and JVM tuning and troubleshooting
Prepare and maintain technical documentation
Provide technical expertise for IT projects and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Working knowledge of programming, systems analysis, and related applications
Experience with Unix, SQL, Python, and REST APIs
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with both management and staff
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
2+ years of programming, systems analysis, or directly related experience
Ability to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work standards
Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques
A combination of education and experience may be considered

Pay Rate

$55 per hour

Shift/Schedule
Full Time | Monday–Friday | 8 AM–5 PM
