An AmLaw-recognized law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Intellectual Property practice in Chicago.
This role is well-suited for an associate with experience across intellectual property prosecution and litigation matters who is looking to further develop within a balanced, full-service IP practice.
The Role
The associate will work with partners and senior attorneys on a range of intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark prosecution, IP litigation support, and related counseling. The practice offers exposure to both contentious and non-contentious IP work, meaningful responsibility, and opportunities for hands-on involvement.
Ideal Background

2–5 years of experience handling intellectual property prosecution and/or litigation matters

Experience with patent and/or trademark matters preferred

Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Ability to manage matters with increasing independence

Admitted in Illinois or eligible to waive in
