Pay Rate: $52–$77/hour
Job Type: Temporary (6-month contract)
Overview
Eastridge is seeking a skilled Contract Manager for a dynamic, Boston-based pharmaceutical organization. This role is ideal for a professional with deep experience in managing the contract lifecycle—from drafting and negotiation to execution and archiving—who thrives in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment. The Contract Manager will serve as a key point of entry for all contracting needs, collaborating across departments to ensure efficiency, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary intake for all contract requests, evaluating complexity and assigning appropriate templates
- Draft and negotiate simple contracts independently; escalate complex legal questions to internal legal stakeholders
- Oversee contract lifecycle from intake through execution, expiration, and archiving
- Ensure contract terms comply with internal policies and legal requirements
- Identify risks or negotiation opportunities and escalate as needed
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and various business units to align contracting processes
- Coordinate internal review and approval workflows
- Maintain organized records and ensure timely updates to contract databases
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and SOP documentation
- Support additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Life Sciences, or related field (or Paralegal certification)
- 5+ years of experience in contract management, including drafting and negotiation
- Strong familiarity with legal terminology and standard contract clauses
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and manage external/internal relationships
- Proficient in tracking and reporting on contract milestones and compliance metrics

- Start Date: ASAP
- Work Environment: Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week in Boston; increased onsite during onboarding)
- Travel: Less than 5% expected
