JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a Software Engineer with 5 years of experience in software development and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS Cloud Services, programming in Java and Python, and experience with relational and non-relational databases. This role requires knowledge of microservices architecture, API design, and the ability to leverage Generative AI tools for accelerating development workflows. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are critical for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using AWS services.
- Implement and optimize microservices-based architectures and APIs.
- Develop solutions leveraging Java, Python, and multiple database technologies.
- Utilize Generative AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, ChatGPT) to enhance software design and troubleshooting processes.
- Apply prompt engineering techniques to improve interactions with AI assistants for development and debugging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Lead technical discussions and mentor team members.
- Ensure application performance, security, and scalability in production environments.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience in Software Engineering.
- Expertise in AWS Cloud Services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Glue, etc.).
- Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
- Database experience with PostgreSQL, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Oracle/DB2, and MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture and API design.
- Proficiency in Generative AI tools for development (GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, ChatGPT).
- Knowledge of prompt engineering for effective AI interaction.
- Excellent technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agent Mode in AI-assisted development.
- Exposure to advanced AI-driven software design and troubleshooting workflows.
Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, or equivalent (preferred).
Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
