LEAD CARPENTER
Greater Quad Cities Area | Up to $30/hour for the right candidate

1st General Companies is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter who knows the trade, takes ownership of their work, and can be trusted to get the job done correctly without needing someone standing over their shoulder all day.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone capable of leading work in the field, solving problems, communicating clearly, and producing professional-quality results.

What We're Looking For

You should be an experienced carpenter who can walk onto a jobsite, understand the scope of work, organize the work that needs to happen, and execute it efficiently.

The right candidate will:

- Have substantial hands-on carpentry and construction experience
- Be capable of leading projects and directing other crew members when necessary
- Understand residential remodeling, restoration, and general construction
- Produce quality work without sacrificing speed or safety
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, subcontractors, and management
- Recognize problems and work toward solutions instead of waiting for someone else to solve them
- Take responsibility for their work, including mistakes
- Show up prepared, on time, and ready to work
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
- Have the judgment to know when to make a decision and when to ask a question

- Have Drivers license and reliable transportation
