Position responsibilities:

  • Unload and receive equipment that arrives to our warehouse from factories or elsewhere.
  • Responsible for coordinating equipment being sent or received on Corporate runs. Maintain log and related files for Corporate run.
  • Check in all new equipment with Receiving Report.
  • Complete the monthly physical inventory for warehouse.
  • If assigned, check in rentals and shop jobs received.
  • As needed, drive pickup truck for parts or other items needed.
  • Maintain area – clean, organized, well maintained.
  • If assigned, fill rack orders.
  • Arrange for pickup of scrap wood and metal.
  • Help service dept by emptying trash, dispose of cardboard and pallets.
  • Make runs to vendors / customers for service and rentals.
  • Assist training staff (tech and operator training) in getting the proper equipment for classes.
  • Inform supervisor if any mechanical or physical problems are detected on any equipment.
  • Helps shipping & receiving with larger loads
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Essential skills and experience:

  • Must hold valid driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Must be licensed to operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Must be comfortable with computer applications, keyboarding.
  • Must be organized and detail minded.
  • Must be safety conscious at all times.

Physical demands: Employee is required to frequently walk around warehouse. Must frequently sit or stand and have use of feet and hands and good sight to drive material handling equipment safely. Position frequently lifts, pushes, pulls, carries up to 100 lbs – use of aids should be used whenever possible. Requires frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, rotating, to unload trucks and examine products. Requires occasional use of computer keyboard and calculator, occasional periods of sitting and close visual examination.

Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to noisier shop environments. When performing duties of this job, it is a requirement to wear Personal Protective Equipment whenever appropriate.
